Sheep
Meaning & Symbolism
The Sheep, often seen as gentle and reserved, symbolizes the feeling of shyness—a tendency to stay quiet, blend in with the crowd, and avoid standing out. When people feel shy, they may hold back from expressing their true selves, choosing to observe from the sidelines rather than stepping into the spotlight. This behavior can stem from a fear of judgment, rejection, or simply a desire to avoid conflict. While there are moments when it is wise to be quiet and observe, it’s important to ensure that this doesn’t come at the expense of your own self-expression and desires. Just as a Sheep might stay close to the flock for safety, people can sometimes dim their light to blend in, fearing the vulnerability that comes with being seen and heard. However, true growth and fulfillment come from finding the courage to step out of the shadows and share your unique voice with the world.
Try shifting feelings of shyness towards gregarious (Dolphin) & open vulnerability (Dragonfly) by considering the following needs:
belonging, reassurance, communication, being seen/heard, trust, safety, independence, growth, movement, self-expression, play, spontaneity…
